I need a WP plugin that lists comments by user on the dashboard, just as the user panel gives you access to posts by user. Any suggestions?

I am precariously close to caught up. This whole 25-hour day thing ROCKS. #yesiposteditfromthewrongaccountthefirsttime

Remembering why I love the first weeks of standard time: got up at 5.30 and am now down to inbox=4 and 4 items to go on today's to-do list.

Looking for folks whose institutions have outsourced faculty email to MSLive/Gmail. Would like to hear up- and downsides of your experience.

I'm going to be at MSA in Montreal, too.

Gmail? or other? And by "in-between period" do you mean the actual transfer or having students/fac-staff on diff services?

Yeah, I think so. *sigh*

Gotcha - that's good to know.

Just testing the new MediaCommons status system. Carry on.

Count me in for #mlatweetup. $$I begin to see a use for lists\.$$

@nowviskie/dh-mla-tweetup What I keep hoping for in lists is the ability to @ a whole group of folks at once. Doesn't work, does it?

Can't tell. The list is clickable as a list on the web, but Tweetie doesn't recognize it, for all the obvious reasons.

The key would be for an @ reply to a list you follow appearing like an @ reply to you, I think. That would be super useful.

I hope so - there almost have to be. Thanks for gathering the list, however it works out!

Absolutely. I do not want to follow my students. I would like to follow my classes. *Big* difference.

Very cool! I'll look forward to hearing more about it.

Need an invitation? I can send you one. It'll take a while to process, but at least it'll be on the way.

Having been through the same thing in California $$with even closer percentages$$, I've got enormous empathy, too.

There seem to be a ton: if you search "with:public educause" you'll find way more than you're looking for...

LAX > CLE > YUL > MSA

In digital modernism seminar at #MSA11. Brain and body both painfully aware that it's 5 am.

About to begin roundtable on new forms of the book. #msa11

RT @mediacommons: Unveiling the MediaCommons profile system! http://bit.ly/4ugKVW Please join in, and RT!

Hmmm. Let me look into it & get back to you - sorry for the error!

Ugh. "More about me" seems broken, and I think there's a permissions issue with your activity stream. Have alerted the cavalry.

Working at home today, and really, really enjoying it.

@lisallynch Still working on 'more about me' in Firefox, but the activity issue should be fixed...

Semantic info is included in our development plan. Thanks for the feedback!

Wish I could take credit; it's the work of our awesome developers at NYU.

Not at this stage, I'm afraid; I'm hopeful that we may be able to publish something before long.

Sending good jobfinding vibes your way...

RT @openhumanities: THE Open Access cover story + features! Story about OA books > http://bit.ly/3zIyPH - all-in-all very supportive of OA.

THE feature just posted mentions $$but does not link to$$ Planned Obsolescence! $$So I'll link: http://bit\.ly/37LV7P$$

At the airport. At 5.30 am. Again.

RT @shanakimball Great THE feature on #openaccess books; @openhumanities, @kfitz, @striphas quoted. http://bit.ly/3zIyPH

On the plane, about to depart EWR on the long trip home. My favorite part is watching the Linux-based video system boot.

Never let it be said that I leave things until the last minute; I have uploaded my #DH2010 abstract with 1hr, 52min, 31sec to go.

Cool! I'll cross my fingers for you, too.

It's amazing, isn't it? My jaw dropped when Mail autodiscovered my account from my address after I upgraded to SL.

I've done it - 1.5+ years now. NeoOffice rulez.

Bringing high-end networking to liberal arts colleges! RT @Nightcy: NITLE and Internet2 announce new partnership: http://bit.ly/2Q0JCE

Gee. Student w/serious writing problems has 11th hr change of term paper topic. Guess they found something more interesting to write about.

Man, I have a day full of meetings and come home to discover that there's a new DH journal & I'm on its editorial board: http://bit.ly/5GnAy

Which is to say: you rock, @dancohen. Go @dhnow!

Dude, you have been completely cracking my shit up all afternoon.

Congratulations! Fantastic news - will look forward to seeing you there.

The good news is they're going out LOTS faster than they were originally; I sent a couple last week that were activated w/in a day.

Gah! Xmas+MLA plane tickets are going to be $900+, and I've got no institutional support for the trip. You're killing me, Continental! Replying to @2xlp Can't work: it's ONT-MSY-PHL. No JetBlue out of ONT anymore, no Virgin anywhere, cheapest SW is just under$900. So I'm just screwed.

Being way less productive and focused working at home today than I need to be; time to head to the coffee house down the block, I think.

Are they lost on the server or on your computer? I had to rearrange things b/c of a hacker...

New blog post: Apparently I Don't Teach Math http://www.plannedobsolescence.net/apparently-i-dont-teach-math/

Two classes, one w/ 33 and one w/ 13. The big one is really too big, but I'm too much of a softie.

Speaking of #aoir, I find myself unreasonably annoyed by this: http://bit.ly/7sm21b - as though no one's been doing it for 10yrs!

There's the genius of the digital-only syllabus. What error? 0:-)

So is The Postal Service's "The District Sleeps Alone Tonight" back in rotation? I've heard it twice in two days, in two different places.

"We still deliver on Saturday - nyah nyah"?

I'm imagining whole new campaigns now. "FedEx: When it absolutely, positively, has to get there. Period."

Two things, the first cool: just got a new Magic Mouse, and it's really as amazing as I thought it would be.

The second creepy: someone on the college network is searching my blog for keywords like married, husband, boyfriend, sex, and so forth.

$$Though at least after coming up empty on "husband" and "boyfriend," they searched "girlfriend\."$$

Probably something like that, yeah. It just comes as enough of a surprise that I leapt to creepiness.

Made an awesome batch of Tuscan white bean & greens soup yesterday, which I'll be eating all week, until I make the Thanksgiving gumbo. Yum!

I started from this http://bit.ly/6RDfCn but added smoked sausage and used heartier greens $$a turnip/mustard/collard mix$$. YUM

The updates: Planned Obsolescence $$http://bit\.ly/zjXhV$$ is now running in CommentPress 3.1, just released by if:book $$http://bit\.ly/5FxyOa$$

Hear, hear. I absolutely cannot function without #1Password anymore. Here's hoping they add #chrome support soon.

Thank you for the reply! No timeframe necessary; I'll be patient, I swear. :)

@unsworth How awful, for everyone. I'm so sorry.

Thankful to have R. here this weekend. Also thankful for the long weekend and the light I begin to glimpse at the end of the tunnel of work.

Gumbo is gumbificating. Happy Thanksgiving, all.

My first external HD was 100MB, and cost something like $200, IIRC. I just bought a 1.5TB drive for$100. Mind, blown. http://bit.ly/7KP2Qd

RT @openhumanities: Interesting discussion re Open Access versus Open Process http://bit.ly/7t9tcY

I'm with you; my students have invariably checked out after Thanksgiving.

OUP Journals: your system keeps rejecting my credit card as expired when I have clearly put in a 2012 expiry date. Did this last year, too.

I just generated a #TweetCloud out of a year of my tweets. Top three words: post, blog, thanks - http://w33.us/3qqa

For better or for worse, that seems about right.

This morning did not begin well. And I am now way more cranky and short-tempered than I ought to be. #hopingisnapoutofit

You got it. After all, the term paper drafts are done and I have a fun week of teaching ahead. What could be so bad? #stupidemail

I am as the surface of a calm sea. Nothing can affect my mood unless I choose to let it. #om
