A recent example from the scholarly infrastructure world: The Principles of Open Scholarly Infrastructure (POSI) https://doi.org/10.24343/C34W2H, and this blog post by my colleague Geoffrey about the background https://www.crossref.org/blog/crossrefs-board-votes-to-adopt-the-principles-of-open-scholarly-infrastructure/ including an evaluation on “So how does Crossref currently meet POSI?”. I find this a constructive alternative to business-focussed KPIs – it’s about communities cooperating to achieve a shared mission, and everyone can play a part.
