Eek, didn’t know about the mercury hazard in the fillings! Anyway, it’s the “un- and mis-diagnosed” part of your story and Hillenbrand’s and so many others that gets to me. I’ve experienced my own version of it–a spinal cord tumor that took far too long to diagnose. I’d really love to get an inside look at how they _teach_ diagnostics in medical school.
