More Networked Texts

Partially just a couple of links for my benefit; partially stuff I’d like to discuss further at a less-rushed moment:

Wendy Chun, Control and Freedom: Power and Paranoia in the Age of Fiber Optics (MIT Press, 2006).

Robert Frenay, Pulse: The Coming Age of Systems and Machines Inspired by Living Things (FSG, 2006).

  1. Pulse is neat looking, readable, and you can get it via RSS (big plus). The Wendy Chun book is hard to use by comparison, and I don’t like the licensing arrangement. No feeds either. Thanks for bringing these to my attention.

  2. I’ve been having a lot of trouble getting Control and Freedom to load properly, too. It’s a shame, because it’s a great idea…
